ANSI 52-3 Porcelain Insulator
The ANSI 52-3 is a 70kN suspension porcelain insulator for high-voltage overhead transmission lines. Multiple units are connected in series to form insulator strings, providing both electrical insulation and mechanical support.
A single insulator unit has limited insulation capacity, so multiple units are connected in series with hardware fittings to create an insulator string. The higher the voltage rating, the greater the number of units needed.
